My Confession

by Yinet Montesino (ChiChi)
I was called from a group of millions to enter his kingdom and become one of his disciples,
You must surrender, put him first, and deny yourself from sins in order to earn this title.
It was three to four months of training, teaching, correction and rebuking,
And Jesus also says, “He who hates correction is stupid.”
Don’t worry; I’m not offended because he didn’t call me dumb,
But in John 6:35
he states, “I’m the bread of life and if you’re seeking
salvation, I’m the one you want to eat from.”
He came to this earth to preach the word, but because of me
he was crucified,
All because I chose sins and darkness over righteousness and light.
Why look surprised? You heard me! I took this innocent man who had No Sins to the cross,
Not realizing that I once belonged to him but in the darkness I got lost.
Why die for me? Because he wanted me to have eternal love and be saved,
So, that the LORD ALMIGHTY doesn’t hold against me my sins and mistakes.
I tell you the truth; I’m a murder.” It’s true so believe it because, I caused his death,
He didn’t have to do it but he still did it anyways, yet there were no regrets.
I mean he went through it all; suffering, mocking, teasing, hatred, and even humiliation,
How stupid was I to think that I once didn’t believe in him and covered up the truth with excuses and false explanations.
I take responsibility for the dripping of his blood on his body and face,
For I chose to compete and still run the race.
In the world’s marathon I was given No guarantees in the first place,
So all along I ran like crazy for a reward that today will be mine but
tomorrow will be taken away.
So I now stand here willing to give up everything for my father,
whom does not want my love for him to be compared to that of my
mother, sister, or brother.
Once again, I myself choose to sin and the same way I choose to repent,
For if God believes I’m worth of his forgiveness, Chichi will be different.
However, I have faith and begin to nail my sins on the daily cross,
If I believe in him, many things I would gain but if I disobey and dishonor him,
for me, that would be triple the loss.
Now I throw down my gloves, loose my attitude, and surrender on my knees,
Because I want to be like him; the man who had it all including Love, Patience, and Humility.
Lucky was I to walk through darkness and into light and be found,
For God does guarantee me a real long-lasting Crown.
Finally, I heard a calling as I woke up from my sleep,
Left everything behind, got up and followed because that was Jesus saying, “Chichi Follow Me.”
