Chris has been preaching a sermon series out of Psalm 23Open Link in New Window to the brothers and sisters in Chicago about God being our shepherd. Today’s lesson centers on Psalm 23:3Open Link in New Window “He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.”

To get us to the best pastures where we will be close to Him, God guides us along various paths. These are the steep paths that Jesus walked. For us to “stay on the path” will require humility, self-denial, total commitment, perseverance through persecution, and perhaps the most challenging of all . . . gratitude!

Are you walking up the steep paths of righteousness with God’s help or along the easier paths of short-termed comfort with plenty of help from worldly-minded friends?
