1 Corinthians 15:1-10
• You easily get comfortable that you lose your gratitude for your relationships.
• Death is a reality. (James 4:14
)
• Do not wait until six strong men in black come to take you to church.
• There is victory in Jesus if you are a baptized disciple of Jesus Christ.
• The hope that you have in Christ is different from the world.
• You have to have deep convictions about the victory in Jesus that you have.
Question: What is your conviction based on God’s Word to save them?
• You are called to be a spiritual doctor.
• The Bible is your scalpel.
Question: Have you taken your stand on God’s Word?
Question: What do you stand on?
Question: Where are you at?
• They are dead but in God’s eyes they have just fallen asleep.
• If you are a baptized disciple of Jesus Christ, then when you die you have just fallen asleep.
• God’s grace had an effect on Paul’s life.
• Grace drove Paul.
1. Jesus’ resurrection inspires you to hold onto God instead of the world.
Question: What are you holding onto?
• If you do not hold onto the Bible, then you are here in vain.
• You can hold onto so many things, but you better hold onto God because Satan is trying to pull you off.
Question: Do you hear the call of Satan?
Question: Do you have conversations with Satan in your mind?
• If you are not holding onto God, then you are holding onto Satan. (John 8:31-32
)
• When you are not faithful, you are holding onto the lies of Satan. (James 2:19
)
Question: What are you doing?
• Belief is not enough.
• Saying that you believe does not cut it.
• Paul got his convictions from Scripture.
Question: Where do you get your convictions from?
Question: Do you view the Bible as being more important than anything else in the world?
Question: Is the Bible really everything to you?
• You were lost in the world.
• William Tyndale was burned at the stake for printing copies of the Bible.
Question: Are you holding onto God or are you holding onto the world?
Question: What motivates you?
Question: Is it really the grace of God that motivates you?
Question: How much do you think about the resurrection?
Question: Do you really believe the resurrection?
2. Jesus’ resurrection inspires you to live a life of power and not pity.
Question: Do you live as if you do doubt the resurrection?
• You live as if there is no resurrection.
• Therefore, you give your best to the world.
1 Corinthians 15:12-34
• If the resurrection is not real, then this is in vain.
Question: Is the resurrection what is guiding you?
Question: How are you living?
• People are dying everyday.
• If you are not living as if you will live with God and keeping eternity in mind, then you are a false witness (2 Timothy 1:7
)
Question: What is holding you back?
Question: Are you living a life of power or are you living a life of pity?
Question: Why were the apostles willing to endanger their lives?
• Because they believed in the power of God.
Question: What is the biggest fear in people’s lives today?
Question: What is your biggest fear?
Question: Are you living life with eternity’s value in view?
Question: What stops your focus on God?
• You get misled so much that you forget the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Question: Who are your closest friends?
Question: Who is inspiring you to do it?
Question: Who are the people that you share your heart with?
Question: Who is your partner in the battle?
Question: Does going to heaven inspire you?
• Unless you spend time with God, you do not get it.
• You got to have time with God.
• You got to be inspired by who God is.
Question: Are you sentimental in your friendships?
• Only by being in the Word can you inspire people to become disciples of Jesus Christ.
3. The resurrection gives you victory over death.
1 Corinthians 15:35-57
• The Spirit from God in you is more important than your earthly body.
• Have a quiet time and meditate on your immortality in Christ.
Question: Have you clothed yourself with immortality lately?
Question: How do you get raised from the dead?
Question: How do you receive the Holy Spirit?
• That victory is something that you do not deserve but because of Jesus you receive it.
• Jesus was able to destroy that pain and suffering for all eternity.
1 Corinthians 15:58
Question: Is that your attitude?
• If you were fired up, then you would stand up and give God a round of applause.
Question: What are you living for?
Question: Do you live your life in the light of the resurrection?
Question: Where is your light?
Question: Where is your hope?
• If you are not giving yourself fully to the Word of the Lord, then you are living as if there is no resurrection.
Romans 6:1-4
• If you are not in Christ, then there is no way that you could stand before God.
Question: How are you living?
• Your life should be new everyday if you are living in the light of the resurrection.
Romans 6:5
• You got to continue to die to your sin.
• You got to continue to live a life of discipleship.
“Live as if you were to die tomorrow, learn as if you were to live forever.”
Question: Are you really living as if you were dying?
Question: What would be your priorities?
Question: Are you really living like you are dying?
Question: Are you dying to your sins daily?
Question: What are you learning about?
• Everyday, get to know about God and who God is.
• God wants you to know who He is.
Hebrews 13:20-21
• You do not need to fear death anymore.
• Jesus has pulled out the stinger.
• Let the resurrection inspire you to hold onto God instead of the world, live a life of power and not pity and give you victory over death.
